Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of personalities living within the afterlife, pits them against each other with musical numbers about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner commented recently. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
